How big is Minecraft?
A great video by Nullatrum that explains all….
How big is Steve?
You may think Steve is two blocks tall and one block wide, but first of all, how big is a block? One block is exactly one meter wide, tall, and deep. This means that Steve would be 2 meters tall (6.56 feet) and one block wide (3.28 feet). Or so you thought. When you press F3, you can see that Steve’s eye level is 1.62 meters tall (5.24 feet). Steve is 32 pixels in all, and 29 of them are beneath his eyes. The other three above his eyes, which come out to be .17 m (0.55 feet), prove that he is 1.79 meters tall (5.87 feet) tall. Although there is no real reference to how wide Steve is, we can assume that he is about 0.27 meters (0.9 feet).
Another cool thing to note: Although Steve seems to be right handed, his left eye is dominant, because he holds a bow with his right hand and shoots it with his left.

Say goodbye to 0x10c!
Notch has decided to throw the development of 0x10c into the pits of Tartarus, so we won’t be hearing more about the space shooter.
MINECRAFT TO BE PORTED TO PLAYSTATION CONSOLES, AS WELL AS 1.7 PREVIEW
I guess the contract didn’t work out between Mojang and Microsoft because Minecraft is finally in development for PlayStation 3, 4 and Vita. Now, this may not be a big thriller for me, considering that I don’t have a PlayStation, but many Sony fans have long awaited this joyous news. 4J Studios, the geniuses behind Xbox 360 Edition, will be developing all three of these PlayStation consoles, in addition to the upcoming Xbox One console.
According to Notch, Minecraft+Sony=True! Craft on, my friends!
In addition, 1.7 is confirmed to bring sunflowers, which will always point east. A little helpful tip!
